Casa Noguera in Plaza Nova

Casa Noguera is a company which was established in 1870. The firm is now directed by the fifth generation since it was founded.The craft of manufacturing sausages is a technique which has been handed down from generation to generation for over a century. The company's founders began their activities in the pork seller's of Plaça Nova, next to the Cathedral of Barcelona.

During the Spanish civil war it was destroyed in a bombing. Its commercial activity was moved to carrer Viladomat, 50 and the manufacturing was moved to Guardiola de Berguedà, an area with a great tradition in the manufacturing of sausages.

Throughout its history Casa Noguera has been recognised for the quality of its products, a good example being the certificate awarded in 1884 by the Spanish Royal Family as "Supplier of the Royal Family".
